In a unexpected crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.
The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Bonus Content
Players who finish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana together with several artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Update
This patch also brings the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
